The Jharkhand State Minority Commission was constituted during the year of 2001. The appointment of Chairman, Vice Chairman and other members of the commission has been made by the government from time to time. The state Government adopted Bihar State Commission Act 1991 after the separation of Jharkhand State from Bihar during the year 2001.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Hon'ble Chief Guest, Shri Hafizul Hasan, Minister of Minority Welfare,Govt.of Jharkhand alongside Chairman Sri Hedayatullah Khan and Vice Chairman Shri Shamsher Alam, Shri Jyoti Singh Matharu & Shri Pranesh Solomon of the Commission. This symbolic gesture illuminated the shared commitment to fostering unity, equality, and justice for all minorities.
